Conversations, usage, and plans

Updated September 27, 2026

After the widget is live, the dashboard shows what people actually asked and how much of your plan you have used.

Conversations

Analytics → Chats lists sessions from the widget. Sort the list by:

  • Newest messages first
  • Most messages first
  • Least messages first
  • Newest chats first
  • Oldest chats first

Open a conversation to read the thread. Use this to:

  • Spot questions your knowledge base does not cover yet
  • See which offers visitors care about
  • Improve the first message, additional instructions, and website copy

You can also open a chat from a Contact card when the person is already in CRM.

How message credits work

Each plan includes a pool of message credits for the current billing cycle (monthly or yearly). Analytics → Usage shows used vs available credits for that cycle.

Credits are spent when the assistant actually answers in the widget:

  • 1 credit for the bot’s text reply
  • +1 credit for every skill (function) the assistant runs during that same turn — Get, Create, Update, or any other connected action. Several skills in one reply cost several extra credits.

Examples:

  • Visitor asks a question, the bot replies with no skills → 1 credit
  • The bot replies and looks up a booking (one Get) → 2 credits
  • The bot creates a record and then updates it in the same turn → 3 credits (1 for the text + 1 + 1 for the two skills)

These do not spend credits:

  • The first greeting when someone opens the widget
  • The visitor’s own typed message (only the bot’s reply is billed)
  • Editing Config, Knowledge, or CRM in the dashboard

Knowledge base size is a separate meter (characters in Web / Docs / Text). Usage shows both rings: credits and characters.

When you run out

If used credits reach the plan limit — or the knowledge-character cap is full, or the billing period has ended — the widget stops: it will not load and new messages are refused. In the dashboard the header can show Out of usage, Deploy is disabled, and knowledge updates are blocked until you upgrade or the next cycle starts. The screens explain this in place, with a link to plans.

Plans

Start with the free trial (300 credits, no card). Paid plans raise monthly credits, character volume, chunk context, team seats, and CRM. Open Plans in the dashboard or the public Pricing page. Billing portal and invoices live under the customer account after you subscribe. Profile (name, company, country, tax number) is shown as read-only account details.

Enterprise

When you buy Enterprise, every feature on that plan (CRM, Creator, skills, seats, higher limits, priority support) is available immediately on the shared BoText servers. You can start using the bot the same way as on other paid plans.

A dedicated server is a separate setup. After the purchase we get in touch and help you move to your own server. Dedicated hosting is billed on top of the Enterprise plan; the price depends on the server configuration.

Need a custom limit or another dedicated setup? Use Contact sales from Pricing. Team members only see Analytics or Billing when those switches are on.
