Knowledge
BoText answers from the knowledge you give it. Add the same information your team would use on a sales or support call. Open Knowledge in the dashboard: Web, Docs, and Text.
Web
Knowledge → Web starts from the website URL you entered when you created the bot. That URL is the primary source. Full update crawls the whole site again and rebuilds every web source from scratch. Confirm in the dialog before it runs.
Related Sources lists the pages that were crawled. Select rows and use bulk actions:
- Update — recrawl the selected pages
- Remove — delete those sources from the knowledge base
Open a row to edit the extracted text. Then choose Save and update (write the text and refresh embeddings) or Save only (keep the edited text without a recrawl). If some pages have almost no crawlable content, a warning icon explains that extra Docs or Text sources will help — especially on sites with anti-scraping protection.
Docs
Knowledge → Docs is for files. Click Add and choose one or more files. Supported formats:
.txt.pdf(not password-protected).docxand.doc
The same Related Sources list lets you update, remove, or open a document and edit its extracted text. Good sources: product catalogs, scripts, onboarding PDFs, price lists that are not on the public site.
Text
Knowledge → Text is for notes you type yourself. Click Add, give the block a name (up to 100 characters), paste the content, and save. Use it for short policies, objection handling, “how we book a call”, or anything you would rather type than upload. Related Sources and the content editor work the same as on Web and Docs.
Keep it current
When offers or prices change, update the matching source. Full web update rereads the site. Replace a document or edit a text block the same way. If usage is over the plan limit, knowledge updates are blocked until you upgrade — the dashboard shows this in place with a link to plans.
Bot status also matters: if preparation failed, go back to Knowledge and try again, or contact Support. While the bot is still preparing, you can track progress on the processing screen.
Character volume and how much context the model can use per reply depend on the plan (for example chunk context and character caps on Pricing). Partners only see Knowledge when you grant them that access.
